Welcome to SBSS

Croesor Slate Mine

South Bristol Speleological Society (SBSS) is a friendly caving club based in the Mendip Hills just south of the City of Bristol in South West England. If you want to go caving in or around Bristol, SBSS has plenty of caving trips planned so get in touch and come with us!

SBSS Chairman

If you've never been caving (or you gave away your stuff!) SBSS has kit you can borrow while you try and work out why you shouldn't love it enough to go out and buy your own!

Lionel's Hole Tuesday 3rd April

Wriggletastic, bring your elbow pads, need a survey and compass if you dont have Dave with you.

The Meeting last week

The Windmill Pub - a crackin' place for an evening.
The pies were marvelous, all pints fresh and eagerly guzzled. We even managed to concentrate long enough to chose a few caves to visit, with a little help from Trev, see the trip list, all non drivers merry, all happy, no fighting or shouting, a good result.

Waterwheel 14th March - wet and fun!

Meet at charterhouse activities centre 7.30

[Somewhere?] we have Keys to: Charterhouse Cave, Cuckoo Cleeves, GB Cave, Longwood Swallet/August Hole, Loxton, Rhino Rift, Singing River Mine, Swan Mine, and many more ...
